This photograph is in black and white. It was taken by Steve Schapiro, in Washington D.C. During the March on Washington, on August 28, 1963.

In the middle, there is a demonstration/a protest. There are mostly (principalement) black people. They are walking together (ensemble). Some (quelques) people are carrying placards (pancartes).
